Problems with Low Quality Safes And Top 4 Things You Must Know Before Buying A Safe.

Problems with low-quality safes:

Investing in an appropriate safe does not have to be a difficult decision. It is important to avoid low value safes as the protection they offer is often not security tested. The majority of low value safes can be unlocked within a minute due to the budget internal locking mechanisms.

To make sure you are investing in the right security tested safe, here are some simple questions to ask yourself:

What Cash Rating or Grade do I need?

A Safe’s cash rating gives you an idea of how secure your safe is.
All safes with a cash rating of £4,000 and above, are tested based on their resistance, and the higher their resistance is, the higher the cash rating is.

The world’s best safes have a high cash rating.
Keep in mind, that the valuable rating of a safe is 10 x the cash rating.
So if your jewelry is worth £100,000, you will need a £10,000 cash rated safe (Grade 1), at minimum.
If your insurance company has asked you to get a safe, they will let you know what Grade, or Cash Rating your safe needs to be to meet their requirements.

The Budget

You pay for what you get.
A low value safe is usually made from low quality materials that can be destroyed easily.

High-quality safes are approved by European standards and we usually advise our customers to increase their budget to get a high quality and security tested safe insurance approved safes from leading UK suppliers.
Most of these safes will come with full delivery and ground floor installation, so you won’t have to lift a finger!

Lock type

There are a variety of locks available for safe. You can purchase a safe with a key lock, mechanical code lock, electronic code lock, or biometric lock. There are also safes that can be equipped with double locks, thus requiring 2 people to open the safe. Each type of lock has its advantages and disadvantages. The best lock is the one with which you feel comfortable, the one that best suits your situation, and is the most practical.

Fitting

Getting your safe installed using high-quality bolts is mandatory. We deal with experienced installers who will make sure that your safe is installed to manufacturer and insurance standards.
